Description

Dalyan is a resort town near Ortaca of Muğla. It is one of the most beautiful places in Turkey with its pristine nature, clean sea and historical texture. It is located on the canal that connects Akdeniz with Lake Köyceğiz. On one side of the beach is Iztuzu Strait, where fresh water and salt water meet. Here you can swim in both fresh and salt water. During this historical tour, our guides will tell you in detail. Don't forget to ask what you want to ask.

If there are two symbols identified with Dalyan, one is the Caretta Caretta and the other is the rock tombs of Kaunos. When you arrive at the beach in Dalyan you will see it right in front of you. You will feel enchanted by the view of these rock tombs. These cemeteries, which are very old civilizations, contain a special story.

We see rock tombs in many ancient civilizations in Anatolia, such as Urartu, Phrygia and Lycia. The higher the graves are, the closer one gets to God. That is why the graves of important people were dug as high as possible in the rocks. It is still unclear today what technique was used to build the tombs on this difficult slope. A feature that sets the Kaunos Rock Tombs apart from others is their Fassadenarchitecture, which resembles Hellenistic temples.

There are many medicinal baths in Dalyan. It is believed that the water filled with the elements it contains is good for rheumatism, skin, liver, spleen and intestinal ailments and is useful in nervous and digestive disorders. It is also said that mud baths are good for rheumatism, cleanse and beautify the skin. After you are in the mud, wait a few minutes for it to dry. They purify themselves in the sulfur pool. The mud bath also has a temperature of 40 degrees.

Best time to visit; Dalyan's Sea season, a place suitable to visit at any time of the year, is from April to November. If you also want to coincide with the spawning of the Caretta Caretta turtles, you can come from June to July. During this period, you can see the Caretta Caretta turtles and have a chance to understand how difficult the living conditions are. Caretta Carettas, an endangered species, are protected here. It's really difficult to live for these endangered creatures. Here you can take as many photos as you like during our break. But don't forget to stay away from the caretta-carettas.

On our tour, you will receive a professional licensed guide, all entrance fees to Mud Baths and Kaunos, hotel transfers and a river cruise, and a complimentary buffet lunch. Breakfast and drinks are available at an additional cost.
