Description

Bodrum is packed with boutiques, bars, cafes and restaurants, although it is considered a sophisticated holiday destination it is a rare opportunity to visit an unspoilt hilltop village about 20 minutes away and experience rural Turkish life which has changed little for centuries. Meet the humblest peasant who never ceased to amaze with his generosity and childishness, showing a long-forgotten hospitality. Visit the tea house, mosque and some local houses where you will experience delicious Turkish cuisine and local drinks. At the end you will see an impressive display of local handmade carpets and rugs made by peasant women.

You can escape the stress and intensity of the city and spend the weekend in a small village. If you are curious to hear beautiful stories from people I've never met, don't touch it... wake up in the morning in the fresh air with the sounds of birds, lambs and roosters.

On a day when the newborn sun says hello, you can get out of your bed with white sheets like chewing gum and open the window as you let that clean oxygen rush through your lungs. Already at the beginning of the day you can enjoy the perfect view.

If you're looking to keep the TV, the internet, and your cell phone off your back this weekend... It's time to update the status and say, "I'm in the village." You will be happy when you are in the village, nature, cute little animals and village natives. You can chat with them and learn about local culture.

In the evening you can light a beautiful shepherd's fire on the plateau, look at the stars that you can't see in the city and plunge into dreams. You can sing folk songs to the mountains, stones, insects, you need to escape from this city to get rid of all the labor intensity, city stress, senseless rush. Far away... The best address for all this is the village tour.

It's a good opportunity for those who want to know more about traditional village life. On this tour we will visit the village square, historic houses, traditional olive oil production, carpet and rug weaving, village coffee. With a tour of the village you can see how Turkish carpets are made, no machine is used in the production of carpets; it is the original method of the 'knot'.

During this visit you can buy rugs from the famous Milas rugs from the houses that woven rugs; and olive oil. If you are not interested in handicrafts, you can try it and leave your own mark, as Turkish carpets can last at least a hundred years. They eat traditional Turkish food. You can spend a great weekend in a great natural and green setting.
